Terms of Business

Authorised Status Rose Hill Insurances Ltd t/a Mobilecover is regulated by the Financial Regulator as a multi agency intermediary pursuant to the Investment Intermediaries Act 1995 to provide insurance services.  Rose Hill Insurances Ltd t/a Mobilecover is authorised to provide advice in relation to non-life insurance  products and transmit orders on client’s behalf to Zurich Insurance with whom the Company holds a letter of appointment.

Conflict of Interest We will endeavour to avoid any conflict of interest when providing services to clients.  Where an unavoidable conflict arises we will advise you of this in writing before providing any business service. If you have not been advised of any such conflict you may assume that none arises. 

Complaints Procedure Rose Hill Insurances Ltd t/a Mobilecover has in place a written procedure for the effective consideration and handling of complaints.   This procedure ensures that all complaints are recorded and acknowledged within 14 days.  All complaints will be fully investigated and the outcome of the investigation will be advised in writing to the complainant.  In the event that a client remains dissatisfied with the handling of and/or response to a complaint they may refer the matter to the Financial Regulator, PO Box 559, Dame St, Dublin 2.

Consumer Protection Rose Hill Insurances Ltd t/a Mobilecover is a member of the Investor Compensation Scheme established under the Investor Compensation Act 1998.  The legislation provides for the establishment of a compensation scheme and to the payment in certain circumstances, of compensation to clients of firms covered by the Act.  However you should also be aware that a right to compensation would only arise where money or investment instruments held by this Company on your behalf cannot be returned either for the time being or for the foreseeable future and where the client falls within the definition of eligible investor as contained in the Act.  In the event that a right to compensation is established, the amount payable is the lesser of 90% of the clients loss, which is recognised as being eligible for compensation or €20,000. 

Clients Money Rose Hill Insurances Ltd t/a Mobilecover will accept payments by signed direct debit only in respect of non life insurance policies in the circumstances permitted under Section 25G of the Investment Intermediaries Act 1995, for onward transmission to insurers.    Rose Hill Insurances Ltd t/a Mobilecover is not authorised to accept cash or negotiable instruments in any other circumstances. 

Where a policy is being paid by direct debit and should payments default, Rose Hill Insurances Ltd t/a Mobilecover is entitled to and may cancel cover without prior notice. We would strongly recommend that you keep a regular check on your account to ensure that payments are being collected, so as to avoid automatic cancellation of cover in the event of non payment.  Should you notice that instalments are not being collected please contact Rose Hill Insurances Ltd t/a Mobilecover immediately. 

Receipts Rose Hill Insurances Ltd t/a Mobilecover will issue receipts for direct debit mandates received pursuant to Section 30 of the Investment Intermediaries Act 1995 and these should be retained in a safe place.

Insurance Undertakings  Rose Hill Insurances Ltd t/a Mobilecover holds a letter of appointment from Zurich Insurance Company.  

Termination You, Rose Hill Insurances Ltd t/a Mobilecover or your insurance may terminate your policy at any time.  However, notice of this termination must be given in writing. 

These terms of business are valid from December 2009 until further notice.
